»Posted by on Dec 9, 2014 in General | 2 comments

Hello All,   Details are yet to be confirmed as we work through ticking things off with Liverpool City Council and suppliers but we are looking at doing the following:   Family Movie Night Tuesday 23 December 2014 7pm Bristol Park (the park nearest to the M7)   A movie is yet to be selected although it has been suggested that it not be Frozen, for the benefit of neighbouring residents. The Lego Movie is an early favourite but happy to hear alternative suggestions. So mark the date in the calendar and hopefully all details can be confirmed by the end of the week. To best gauge numbers and hence the required size of the screen, posting comments as to whether you would attend and how many people you would have with you that would be much appreciated. This event is intended for Parkbridge residents and their families...

Liverpool Publications – Your Liverpool, Negotiator and Newspapers

If you’re feeling out of touch with what is happening in the local area here are a few ways to stay up-to-date. As Parkbridge residents don’t receive the physical copy of community newspapers or the ‘local rag’ then hopefully the below can assist in connecting to you to what is happening in Liverpool and surrounding Council areas. NEWSPAPERS Few of us would have failed to have experienced the weekly circulation of the local newspaper at former residents. For some of us it went straight in the recycling, others had a quick flick through of what houses are worth these days and there will be those that read it cover to cover – except when it poured with rain and the paper turned to glug. If you have missed this circulation then never fear as this information is still available online, ads and all. For Liverpool there have been two circulations of weekly news in both the Liverpool City Champion and the Liverpool Leader. Liverpool City Champion is operated by Fairfax Media (Sydney Morning Herald) and is available with its dedicated website or in an eEdition. Liverpool Leader is operated by News Corp (The Daily Telegraph) and it too is available in an eEdition but as for a website is merged into News Local South West Region. There is also the opportunity to sign-up to a newsletter for regular updates.   YOUR LIVERPOOL Each quarter a local publication called Your Liverpool is released at the beginning of the seasonal change. With that earlier this week the Summer edition of Your Liverpool was released. It makes for an interesting read with some of the articles in regard to transport and investment throughout the Council area and what impact that may have. The same can be obtained from the weekly news but this is a quarterly wrap of where things are at… and it’s in glossy colour! In addition to this there can be offers to claim with local businesses and suggestions of events and activities throughout the area. The Summer Issue is located online HERE and physical copies are available throughout the Council boundaries. Otherwise, you are able to subscribe to be notified when the latest issue is released through the website HERE.   LIVERPOOL NEGOTIATOR Who doesn’t love a good deal? The Liverpool Negotiator is another colour publication that you probably see regularly. It’s the one where business owners get dressed up to match the theme of the edition. Discounts, specials and general advertising inform of local businesses of all varieties. By visiting the website you are able to see what the current edition has in store and interestingly there is also an app for both Android and the iPhone App Store.   If you are aware of any news, offers or other information that may appeal to Parkbridge residents, please drop a comment...
